Marwa
Inspired by a true story, 'Marwa' is a romantic drama showcasing the struggle between love, loyalty, tradition and patriotism. It is the story of Marwa, an Arabic Interpretor who discovers a dangerous and untimely love. Devin, an American soldier commissioned to rebuild Iraq after the 2003 American invasion and specifically Marwa’s Rodwaniya village, is redeployed to Jordan. This film is a commentary on the cultural and socio-political impact of war. View the hi-res version.

Overwhelmed by the literal and metaphoric noise and chaos in our lives, it is not uncommon to witness people who retreat into a “desensitized” state of being. Being shopaholics or drugged or just glazed observers are just some ways of escape from this sometimes overly bitter state of affairs that is called life. Here is one such affected woman.
