Poshak/Facade Trailer

Picture
Waking up to another day of disturbing visions involving a mystic dancing on a rooftop trying to communicate with her, uninspired writer DUA TARIQ is troubled. She tries to seek clarity and inspiration through a hesitant meeting with her spiritual dance teacher and a day around town realizing that the noise, chaos and her judgmental surroundings are forcing her true self to retreat deeper within. She must let go of the facade to satisfy existence around her in order to access her true self again and to download her vision into creative expression.

Marwa

Inspired by a true story, 'Marwa' is a romantic drama showcasing the struggle between love, loyalty, tradition and patriotism. It is the story of Marwa, an Arabic Interpretor who discovers a dangerous and untimely love. Devin, an American soldier commissioned to rebuild Iraq after the 2003 American invasion and specifically Marwa’s Rodwaniya village, is redeployed to Jordan. This film is a commentary on the cultural and socio-political impact of war.  View the hi-res version.

Trailer

Desensitized

Overwhelmed by the literal and metaphoric noise and chaos in our lives, it is not uncommon to witness people who retreat into a “desensitized” state of being. Being shopaholics or drugged or just glazed observers are just some ways of escape from this sometimes overly bitter state of affairs that is called life. Here is one such affected woman.  View the hi-res version.

Firestarter

Science and technology, defense and spirituality will not be unfamiliar aspects of Nigerian culture in the future. Here is a recent piece of music from the “Kings of the Revolution” (The K.O.R.) that I helped bring to live motion interpretation.  View the hi-res version.

The Sound of Silence

A character sketch of a man whose only inspiration and hope to life is communicating to the outer world through Physics or music.

The Turn of the Key

The Turn of the Key is an experimental narrative based on a Norwegian myth about the Devil. Three love-struck wanderers are lured by the devil’s music to see the worst in them. What happens if one of them intervenes and stops the power, the control...the music?  View the hi-res version.
